Ingredients:

For the Flan:

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup cannabis-infused milk or cream

Instructions:

  1. Make the Caramel: In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves and then stop stirring. Allow the mixture to simmer until it turns a golden amber color (about 8-10 minutes). Quickly pour the caramel into a round baking dish, tilting it to coat the bottom evenly. Set aside to harden.
  2. Prepare the Flan Mixture: In a blender, combine the eggs, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, vanilla extract, and cannabis-infused milk or cream. Blend until smooth and well combined.
  3. Bake the Flan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the flan mixture over the set caramel in the baking dish. Place the baking dish inside a larger roasting pan and fill the outer pan with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the flan dish (this creates a water bath).
  4. Cook: Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the flan is set and a knife inserted comes out clean.
  5. Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove the flan from the water bath and allow it to cool to room temperature. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight. To serve, run a knife along the edges of the flan before inverting it onto a serving plate to release it from the dish.
