Spam Musubi

This cannabis-infused Spam Musubi adds a relaxing twist to the classic Hawaiian snack. Sweet and savory caramelized Spam meets seasoned rice, wrapped in nori for a flavorful, calming bite. Enjoy responsibly and savor the perfect balance of taste and vibes!

Ingredients

  • 1 can of Spam (classic or your preferred variety)
  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice (short-grain rice works best)
  • 4 sheets of nori (Japanese seaweed), cut in half lengthwise
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1-2 teaspoons cannabis-infused oil (adjust dosage based on your tolerance and desired potency)
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • Musubi mold or cling wrap (optional for shaping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Spam
    • Open the can of Spam and slice it into 8 equal pieces.
    • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook the Spam slices for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  2. Flavor the Spam
    • Mix the soy sauce, sugar, and cannabis-infused oil in a small bowl.
    • Once the Spam is cooked, pour the soy sauce mixture over the slices in the skillet. Cook for an additional minute on each side, allowing the sauce to caramelize and coat the Spam. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  3. Assemble the Musubi
    • Place a sheet of nori (shiny side down) on a clean surface or bamboo sushi mat.
    • Scoop about 1/4 cup of cooked rice onto the center of the nori sheet. Use slightly damp hands or a spoon to press and flatten the rice evenly.
    • Add a slice of the caramelized Spam on top of the rice. If desired, sprinkle a pinch of sesame seeds on top.
    • Fold the nori around the Spam and rice, wrapping it tightly. Seal the edge of the nori by lightly dabbing it with water if needed.
  4. Mold for Perfection (Optional)
    • Use a musubi mold to achieve perfect shaping or wrap the assembled musubi tightly in cling wrap and press gently for a clean, compact finish.
  5. Serve
    • Cut in half if preferred and serve fresh. Enjoy your cannabis-infused Spam Musubi as a snack or a quick, savory meal on the go!

Pro Tip

  • For extra flavor, add a dash of furikake seasoning or a thin slice of omelette to your musubi before wrapping.
  • Be mindful of the dosage! Start with a small amount of cannabis-infused oil and adjust based on your tolerance.

Enjoy responsibly! 🌿
